Members of the Pain Research Group actively participated in the 3rd International Conference of the Society for Interdisciplinary Placebo Studies (SIPS), which took place on May 26-28. Professor Przemysław Bąbel gave a lecture "Learning mechanisms of placebo effects in pain. Translating science into clinical practice", and doctor Stefanie Meeuwis gave a presentation "Investigating expectancy effects in an online study: the effects of positive and negative information framing on contagious itch". The team also presented a poster "Who would you learn from? The effect of the model's characteristics on observationally induced placebo effects", which is available HERE.
