Luana Colloca, MD, PhD, is an associate professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA. She has authored more than 65 original articles – well-cited in the biomedical literature and published in journals such as Biology Psychiatry, JAMA, The Journal of Neuroscience, BMJ, and Pain. She has co-edited three books for Elsevier, Joseph Henry Press, and Lambert Press respectively on the neurophysiological mechanisms and translational aspects of the placebo and nocebo effects.
Małgorzata Sobol-Kwapińska, PhD, is a professor at the Wrocław University where she leads the Psychology of Personality Unit. She specializes in psychology of time, psychology of pain and family therapy. One of her research projects is conducted in collaboration with prof. Philip Zimbardo under NCN Harmonia grant “Forms of the present time orientation”.

As an expert, he has appeared on the BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 as well as a number of newspapers including The Guardian, The Times, Men’s Health, and the Daily Mail.
